I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5 because of the sheer number of typos in formulas in the kindle edition (as of when I purchased it) - often it isn't hard to figure out what they are supposed to be, but then again often it is as well. Typos show up in proofs and in exe||"There has long been a need for a new version, and this is a superb new version. The new Hughes and Cresswell would clearly be the text of choice for introductory courses in modal logic. I expect this would be a standard reference in the subject for some years
